In April, 2001, Books and Wings opened a public library in Tiquisate, Department of Escuintla, on Guatemala’s Costa Sur

(South Coast). Patronage is now as high as 2,900 users a month.

We are also currently working in Chicacao, Department of Suchitepequez,where the library has reopened after a disastrous

fire. Outside of Chicacao and Tiquisate, Books and Wings mini-libraries provide much-needed books to rural schools.

We are blessed to work with honest and caring Guatemalan partners who work heart and soul to benefit their communities.
